Welcome to the new Flowerworld Website. Just an introduction to the recently combined Businesses of Ray Lindwalls Florist and Flowerworld Florist.

Both of these companies have a long and presitegous history in the florist industry and is now able to offer an even better standard of service than ever before.

Flowerworld Florist

Under the guidance of Fay Tierney, Flowerworld has blossomed into the very successful business that it is today. With many very happy corporate clients, and still maintaining a standard of excellence, only producing designer work and the best florists. Fay has trained many florist in the industry, and I, personally had the privellege of working for her for over 5 years.

Due to ill health, Fay retired in early 2009, giving us the opportunity to buy this business and combine it with my families florist business of over 45 years.

Thanks to Fay, I currently hold an Interflora Diploma of Construction, have attended numerous workshops, and strive for excellence always in my work.

Established in Brisbane in 1964, Ray Lindwalls Florist constantly strives to improve quality of service and consistently aim for perfection.

With the finest in flowers Ray Lindwalls Florist is a thriving family business. The business expanded shortly after their daughter finished school with her introduction of new European modern and designer arrangements, as well as exquisite traditional arrangements.

Together the family team which now spans three generations, have travelled extensively overseas to stay in touch with new and exciting techniques.

Interesting Fact ...

If you were wondering if Ray Lindwalls Florist sounded familiar, it does! Raymond Russel Lindwall joined his wife in the floral business in 1964 after his retirement from cricket.

Ray Lindwall (1921-1996) was recently named in the Australian Cricket Board Test Team of the Century. With a Test Cricket career spanning 13 years, Ray was named Wisden Cricketer of the year in 1949, and is commonly regarded as Australian Cricket's greatest fast bowler since the Second World War.

For those Rugby League fans, Ray also played for St. George for four seasons and enjoyed playing in a number of Grand Final games. Truly one of Australia's greatest sports achievers.
